IPL 2021: Sanju Samson discusses his role for the Rajasthan Royals

Sanju Samson shares his insight on the game he plays and captaincy role for Rajasthan Royals in IPL

Sanju Samson has had a wonderful IPL season! Despite the fact that Rajasthan Royals are on the 5th spot in the IPL points table.

We cannot miss noticing how his contribution to the team had allowed him a spot in India’s Sri Lanka Tour. Unfortunately, he has missed a spot in the T20 World Cup squad that was recently announced.

Rajasthan Royals just cannot make mistakes in the Indian Premier League now. If the team wants to qualify for the playoffs they have to work hard for the second phase.

Sanju Samson and his wonderful batting have been noticed. At the same time, his captaincy was lauded too.

His maturity in bringing in Chetan Sakariya and Karthik Tyagi was notable. Even as his century in the first half helped the Royals, now he has a lot of responsibility ahead of the tournament.

As a result of lots of speculation on his role, Sanju Samson said,” I think captaincy is not a huge challenge”

Also goes on to add that his focus will be to take one ball at a time. His actual challenges and responsibilities are more so side of the ground.

Speaking of his preparation for the upcoming tournament, Sanju Samson said,” “I am not going to think about who is going to come up next or if I get out, what’s going to happen. The risk is very high in this format, so at the same time, the reward is also very nice. So, I think the risk is worth taking my game has been the same it should remain the same.”

Best of luck to Rajasthan Royals and Sanju Samson for his contribution to the upcoming Indian Premier League.
