The All India Football Federation (AIFF) won’t relegate Neroca FC to the subsequent division, regardless of completing at the base in this current season’s I-League.

AIFF President Praful Patel will soon lead a meeting of presidents/general secretaries of all state affiliations – on Friday where technical chief Isac Doru will make a point with respect to the suspension of relegation for this season.

“The technical chief has suggested that during the current year, because of the pandemic, there ought not to be any relegation in the I-League.”

“He will make a show clarifying the reasoning and the AIFF will make a choice,” a senior official said.

In the event that AIFF concurs with its technical chief that there ought not to be any relegation in the I-League this season, it won’t be the first occasion when that groups completing in the assignment zone have been permitted to proceed.
