Akash Chopra considers the Inclusion of Prithvi Shah as a wild card option for the opening slot in the T20 World Cup. Oher than captain Kohli and KL Rahul who are the frontrunners for the opening slot in the T20 World Cup.
The young Indian Batsman Prithvi Shah had an extremely tough year, in the year 2020. It all started with an average New Zealand tour and followed it with a horrible run in IPL 2020 season which happened in UAE. Even though he was backed for the Adelaide test in Australia unfortunately he was unable to prove himself there. His poor performance had led him to drop from the side.
Prithvi Shah is finally back into the side after 7 months of wait. And he currently preparing himself for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka which is in Colombo starting from 13th July. He gets this opportunity in the absence of regular players who is currently on the tour of England. It is a big opportunity for th21 year old to strengthen his presence in contention for the T20 World Cup, which is going to happen later this year.

Akash Chopra said, “In the end, it might just be a toss-up between KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Rahul might just win that race because now the pant will play; he will come in the middle order”.
Akash Chopra further said “You can manage the lower order by Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant and Jadeja. I will have Rahul right at the top. If not open then ay No.3.If he comes at 3, then Kohli opens That’s where I think things are moving “, headed.
