FIS Alpine World Ski Championships returns for its 48th edition to the Austrian Alps.
Saalbach Hinterglemm will play host to Alpine World Ski Championships 2025 from 4 to 16 February 2025.
The competition will feature 250 women and 380 men from over 70 nations in two weeks of thrilling action, with more than 100,000 ski fans expected to attend.
Olympic champions Marco Odermatt, Clément Noël, Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsey Vonn, and Sofia Goggia are the top contenders for the titles.
The programme features four individual events and two team events, with a total of 10 sets of medals up for grabs.
The new Team Combined event will replace the individual event, making its official debut in a senior major competition. This innovative format, set to make its first Winter Olympic appearance at Milano Cortina 2026, involves teams of two athletes of the same gender—one competing in downhill and the other in slalom—with the gold medal awarded to the team with the lowest combined time.
