On Tuesday, May 27, Rishabh Pant played an amazing innings and scored a century for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
Rishabh Pant Played A Stunning Knock
Pant had been struggling to score runs earlier in the season, but this time he played very well and led his team. He came to bat early in the game after Matthew Breetzke got out, caught by Nuwan Thushara.
Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh worked together well and stopped RCB from taking control. They built a strong partnership, adding 152 runs for the second wicket. The partnership ended in the 16th over when Bhuvneshwar Kumar got Marsh out. Marsh scored 67 runs off just 37 balls before he left the field.
Rishabh Pant made good use of his start and scored a century. He reached 100 runs in just 54 balls. This was his second IPL century and his first since he scored 128 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.
Pant’s century was a strong answer to his critics. To celebrate, he hit a four and then did a backflip, showing his excitement.

Anushka Sharma was watching the game from the stands. When Pant did the backflip, the cameras showed her reaction. She didn’t seem happy and was seen talking to her friend next to her. Fans noticed that her friend quickly responded, and some said she called Pant ‘stupid.’
Talking about the match, Pant’s century helped LSG reach a big total of 227 runs for 3 wickets. However, his century went in vain as RCB won the match by 6 wickets. This was RCB’s highest ever successful chase in IPL history.
