As the IPL 2025 auction approaches, Arjun Tendulkar, an all-rounder from Goa, stands at 25 years of age, he has been simply brilliant in the ongoing season of the Ranji Trophy and proved himself to catch the eye just in time for the IPL franchises. The performances against Arunachal Pradesh were vastly impressive when Arjun destroyed all opposition with his bowling spell that brought down the opposition to a mere 84 runs.

But Arjun proved as the deadliest of all bowlers at the Goa Cricket Association Ground in Porvorim as his side turned up trumps in the game. He took five wickets just for 25 runs in 9 overs, and it was crucial wickets that seemed to break Arunachal Pradesh’s batting lineup. Arjun went with an early breakthrough in his very first over, which made Nibhab Hachung get out on a duck and then the way ahead was excellent for the rest of the bowling performance.
Arjun then struck twice in the 12th over of the innings. In the end, he finished the game by completing his five-wicket haul in the 18th over itself. His brilliant show left the opposition reeling, and this gave Goa a great commanding position to hold on to in that match. This follows another strong performance shown in the previous match against Nagaland where Arjun contributed 42 runs with the bat under pressure while also taking a total of 11 wickets across the game.
Arjun Tendulkar, the cricketing brat of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar has most certainly made a dashing start to the new Ranji season. His recent cricketing exploits would certainly help him raise his value in the run-up to the IPL 2025 auction slated on November 24-25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Mumbai Indians have recently released Arjun and his strong performance in domestic cricket would not go unnoticed by other franchises in the Indian Premier League who would be eyeing to beef up their squads.
Arjun Tendulkar: A Glimpse of Cricketing Ability
So far, Arjun has represented the team in 16 first-class matches and has come out successful with 32 wickets, having an average of 37.75 and an economy rate of 3.34. As a batsman, he has managed 532 runs, averaging 23.13. Arjun is well-balanced, but on being given the opportunity to play in the Indian Premier League, he had played five matches and has an abysmal record of three wickets and 13 runs.
Though his IPL career has been short so far, recent form in the domestic circuit indicates that he’s getting ready to make more noise in the coming season of the IPL. Massive displays by Arjun Tendulkar in the Ranji Trophy and the IPL 2025 auction looming around will keep everyone’s eyes on him who’s going to pick him up and how he performs in the IPL season that follows.
