IND VS AFG: India started beautifully against Afghanistan at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh  New Chandigarh Stadium, Mullanpur. At the end of the day India posted a total of 368-3. India’s vice captain and Captain powered and scored centuries which helps India to post such a big total on day one. One Saturday India won the toss and chose to bat first against Afghanistan. Kl Rahul came to bat as a opener did not lose he wicket batted almost end of the day and hit 12th century of his test career. Eventually, Skipper Shubman Gill smashed the 11th test century of his career and came not out till the last.

Rahul was named as India’s vice captain in the Afghanistan one test match and he played beautifully on the day one of the test match against the Afghans.  Kl Rahul hit the 12th test century of his test career at New Chandigarh Stadium Mullanpur. During his inning he faced 165 balls and scored century hitting 11 boundaries and continuing his incredible form unlike he plays in IPL season 2026. He showed his ability while opening the inning.

Team India’s Test captain Shubman Gill batted terrifically and played a beautiful innings of 103 runs and remained not-out till the end of day, Also he scored 11th century of his Test career. Being a captain and playing at your home ground is a different kind of feeling and this is what a player needed. Gill made 103 runs off just 143 balls where he hit 11 boundaries and one sixes and he had a big opportunity to convert his innings into a big innings. 

Rishabh Pant can create history

Eventually, At the end of the day India Posted 368 runs of 3 wickets. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant remain not out. If we talk about Rishabh Pant he also made his half-century and two boundaries and 3 sixes. But what is special about his innings is that Pant hit 3 maximums and he is just two sixes away from creating a world record. If he hits 2 more sixes in this match he will be the first Indian player to hit 100 sixes in Test cricket history ever.
