The Oman men’s national beach handball team lifted the title at the 10th Asian Beach Handball Championship held in Muscat. They crushed Iran in the final with a score of 2-0.
As the match began with excitement, Oman took an early lead, thanks to Asaad Al-Hosni. Although Iran made a comeback attempt in the first half, Oman held their nerve and finished ahead with a score of 21-18.
An outstanding performance from Hudhaifa Al-Siyabi between the posts, played a key role in securing the win.
Things began to heat up in the second half with Iran equalizing at one point, but Oman ultimately asserted its dominance, securing a final score of 14-10.
Hudhaifa Al-Siyabi of Oman was named the best player of the match for his exceptional performance.
In other results, Pakistan secured third place after defeating Jordan at the Asian Beach Handball Championship.
In the women’s competition, Vietnam won the championship defeating Philippines in the final. Their players completed a convincing 2-0 (22–16, 24–20) to win the gold medal at this year’s tournament.
They displayed a dominant performance in the entire tournament without losing any single set throughout the competition.
In a historic milestone, this was the Vietnamese women team’s third consecutive beach handball Asian title. They also claimed gold in the 2022 and 2023 editions of the championship.
India finished third in the women’s division at the 2025 Asian Women’s Beach Handball Championship.
The 2025 Asian Beach Handball Championship was held from 6 to 15 May 2025 in Muscat, Oman sanctioned by the Asian Handball Federation (AHF). Games were staged at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
