An early setback for the Aussie as Alyssa Healy gets Out, gets Caught by Indian wicket-keeper Richa Ghosh, as she makes a superb catch. With this, Renuka Singh gets her Maiden International Wicket. AUSW was 5/1.
However, when India was in a dire need of a wicket – the Australian Skipper Meg Lanning got Out bizarrely. Unlucky for Meg Lanning as she hits her stumps. The Aussie Captain walks back to the pavilion. Aussie was 44/2 (6.6 overs).

Then Aussie lost two quick wickets of Ashleigh Gardner and Ellyse Perry. Hence, Australia was 73/4.
However, yet again it’s the pair of Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath who added runs on board for the Aussie. Beth Mooney brings up her half-century and ends her innings at 61 (off 43 deliveries).
In the end, Tahlia McGrath’s unbeaten 44 (off 31 deliveries) helped Australia post 149/5 on the board.
India needed 150 Runs to Win
Chasing 150, India needed a great opening partnership. However, India lost an early wicket in form of opener Shafali Verma, as Ashleigh Gardner strikes for the Aussie. India was 3/1.
Just when India was looking good, made a 57-Run Partnership between Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues. The Aussie strikes back as Jemimah Rodrigues walks back to the pavilion, as Tayla Vlaeminck takes the catch.
However, India’s Vice-Captain Smriti Mandhana reached her 14th T20I half-century. But just after that lost her wicket, Smriti Mandhana departs for 52 (off 49 deliveries) as Meg Lanning takes an excellent catch running back. Here, India was 92/3.
But just after that, the Indian Team lost three quick wickets. Hence, it became difficult for India to win as 36 Runs were needed off the last over. However, Richa Ghosh did hit few runs off the last over, but they were not enough to guide India to victory. 21 runs were scored from the last six bowls.
As a result, Australia won the 3rd T20I by 14 Runs and Clinched the Multi-Format Series by 11-5.
