The Austrian Grand Prix 2025 started with Lando Norris on pole, Charles Leclerc in second place, and Oscar Piastri in third. As the lights went out for the formation lap, Carlos Sainz found it difficult to move, leading to a start from the pit stop. However, he ended up not starting the race as his car caught fire, leading to a disappointing end to hopes for Williams.

McLaren’s Battle For The Glory

Meanwhile, the race saw a highly intense back-and-forth battle between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri on lap 11, which, by the way, was a sight to watch. Then, as the race reached its final laps, Franco Colapinto was given a blue flag, which means he had to let the race leader, Piastri, pass him, although he ended up forcing Piastri off the track, gaining a 5-second penalty.

As Piastri finally went up the traffic, he was stuck as Gabby and Alonso fought for a better position, leading Norris to secure the Austrian Grand Prix 2025. Oscar Piastri finished second, while Charles Leclerc completed the podium. Lewis Hamilton had a comparatively better race as he finished fourth, narrowly missing the podium, while the previous winner, George Russell, finished fifth.

A surprising sixth-place finish was claimed by Liam Lawson for the Racing Bulls, which makes everyone wonder if Red Bull regrets replacing him with Yuki, who finished last. Alonso finally scored some points for Aston Martin, finishing in seventh place, while the Sauber duo finished eighth and ninth, scoring points.
