Babar Azam becomes the only batter in the top 10 rankings across three formats

Babar Azam has reached a new milestone on Wednesday, 27th July. The Pakistani batter is the only batter in this world right now to present in the top 10 rankings across all three formats. He is the new No. 3 batter in the ICC men’s Test batting rankings. The latest rankings has been named and without a doubt England batter Joe Root is in the top of the list.

Joe Root has 12 centuries to his name in Test cricket since 2021 and thus deserved to be in that place (1) in the latest ICC Test batting rankings. After Joe Root, Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne is in the second position in that list with a rating point of 885. Babar Azam who jumped one position in this list overtaking Steve Smith has 874 rating point. There are only two Indian batters in this list namely Rishabh Pant who is in the 5th position and Rohit Sharma who is at 9th.

Rishabh Pant is deservingly in that list as no Indian player has scored more runs than him in the Test cricket since the year 2021. Babar Azam is really in the peak of his career as he is in the 3rd position in Tests, 1st in T20Is, and 1st in ODIs rankings.
