Bangladesh Premier League Records and Statistics – Team Records for Lowest Total Overall

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has provided a platform for local and international cricketers to showcase their skills. Over the years, the league has witnessed incredible performances from local and international cricketers. However, one of the most impressive records in the BPL is the lowest total overall across all seasons. In T20 cricket, a low total score can often result in a team losing, making it challenging for the batting side to put runs on the board.

In the BPL, there have been instances where teams have struggled to put up a competitive total and have fallen short of the target set by their opponents. The lowest total in BPL history stands at 70 runs, which the Sylhet Royals achieved in the 2013 season. This low score was a testament to the quality of the opposition’s bowling attack and the difficulty of playing on a tricky wicket.

The Bangladesh Premier League is a professional T20 cricket league in Bangladesh and was first established in 2012. Despite a valiant effort from middle-order batsman Carlos Brathwaite, who scored 22 runs off 15 balls, the Titans could not put up a competitive total.

Barisal Bulls

The 2015 season of the Bangladesh Premier League saw the Barisal Bulls take on the Sylhet Super Stars in a match that proved to be a disappointing outing for the Bulls. In the 2013 season of the Bangladesh Premier League, the Khulna Titans faced the Chittagong Kings in a match that saw the Titans put up a disappointing performance with the bat. Batting first, the Khulna Titans were only able to post a total of just 67 runs in their 20 overs, which was their lowest score of the entire season. Despite a valiant effort from middle-order batsman Hasanuzzaman, who scored 22 runs off 17 balls, the Titans could not put up a competitive total.

Several teams have posted low scores in the Bangladesh Premier League, ranging from 44 to 67 runs. The lowest total has been a recurring issue for many teams, highlighting the importance of consistent and strong performances with the bat. Teams must improve their batting in future seasons to avoid such disappointment and increase competitive scores.
