On Tuesday, 9th November 2021 the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s squad for T20Is against New Zealand for the upcoming home series starting from 17th November 2021.
The series will start on the 17th November, just after the 2021 T20 World Cup and it will comprise of 3 T20Is and 2 Test Matches. Meanwhile, this series will be the first assignment of Rahul Dravid as Team India’s Head Coach.
The list of the squad was announced on BCCI Official Website, confirming that “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked a 16-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. India is set to play 3 T20Is starting from 17th November 2021.”

1st T20I on 17th Nov 2021, Wednesday at Jaipur.
2nd T20I on 19th Nov 2021, Friday at Ranchi.
3rd T20I on 21st Nov 2021, Sunday at Kolkata.

India’s T20I squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (Vice-Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Venkatesh Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj.
However, Virat Kohli along with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja are rested for the three T20Is against New Zealand.
Meanwhile, India’s had an early exit in the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup, failing to advance for the semi-finals. India’s campaign in the tournament ended on a good note as India won against Namibia by 9 wickets, but they will be disappointed with the way they performed during the tournament, as they were one of the frontrunners to win the cup.
