History
The BCCI’s founding may be traced all the way back to 1926. Two representatives from the Calcutta Cricket Club attended International Cricket Council sessions (formerly known as Imperial Cricket Conference). Following the conference, the MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) decided to send a team to India under the leadership of Arthur Gilligan.
Arthur Gilligan made a commitment to work hard to get India accepted into the ICC. This was contingent on the game’s promoters all coming together, though. Additionally, they were prepared to see the institution of a single authority through. Positive responses came from all parties involved, and on November 21, 1927, a meeting was held in Delhi. The gathering included representatives from Delhi, the United Provinces, Patiala, and several other areas.
Following that, a unanimous consensus was achieved, and the formation of a provisional cricket body in India began. Following that, the board was registered under the Tamil Nadu Registration Act in December 1928. R E Grant was elected president, and Anthony De Mello was named secretary.

Membership
The BCCI offers two types of membership. There are both full and associate members. A state cricket association recognised by the BCCI represents their state on the board.
Each state is allowed only one Full Member on the board. There are, however, two exceptions. With three exceptions, three incumbent members from Gujarat and Maharashtra remain full members.
All other existing members who are not Full Members automatically become Associate Members of the BCCI. In addition, the board has the authority to admit any other entity as an Associate Member. Secretary

Joint Secretary
