In the most exciting contest of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, the Bengaluru Bulls vs Telugu Titans game lived up to its hype. Played at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, the contest was sealed in the last seconds, with the help of Ganesha Hanamantagol’s unbelievable Super Raid, which enabled the Bulls to steal a thrilling 34-32 win and move to fourth place in the points tally.
Bengaluru Bulls vs Telugu Titans: Chess-like Contest Between South Indian Rivals
The first 10 minutes were competitive as both teams were tied before then enter the round. The Bengaluru Bulls had the first push with successful raids from Akash Shinde and Bharat, while their defence was rock-solid with Deepak Sankar and Yogesh controlling the Titans.
While Avi Duhan and Shubham Shinde, playing for Telugu Titans, made timely tackles to keep the game even, Akash Shinde’s offensive momentum, coupled with Satyappa Matti’s solid defense, allowed the Bulls to edge out to a 6-5 advantage.
Titans Seize Control Before Halftime
The momentum tilted in favor of the Telugu Titans in the second quarter. Vijay Malik changed the complexion of the game with a decisive multi-point raid, knocking out Deepak Sankar and Ganesha. Bharat followed up with effective raids, and Ajit Pawar and Ankit tightened the defence.
Though the Bulls mounted a comeback with timely tackles, the Titans struck more telling blows. At halftime, the Titans were ahead 14-11, positioning the contest for a tense second half in the Southern clash.
Titans Register an All Out, But Bulls Remain Alive
Bengaluru Bulls lost an All Out in the early stages of the second half when Pankaj and Deepak were brought down one after the other. Vijay Malik made full use with three consecutive raids to leave the Titans firmly on top.
Despite of the pressure, Alireza Mirzaian kept the Bulls in the game with a series of effective raids. Ganesha, who came off the bench, provided vital support. The Titans, though, never let their lead slip, with Bharat tearing the Bulls’ defence apart to extend the lead to 24-19 with only 10 minutes on the clock.
Bulls Stage Late Comeback in Last Minutes
With seven minutes remaining on the clock, the match got thrillingly dramatic. Ajit Pawar was booked with a yellow card after a thrilling raid from Alireza.
The Iranian carried on his wave of momentum, sending Sagar to the sidelines, and moments later, Vijay Malik was brought down by Sahil Rane, bringing the deficit to one. Alireza then scored level at 27-27, finishing off his Super 10, as the match went into its most dramatic stage.
Super 10s for Bharat and Alireza, But Ganesha Picks Up the Pace
The game turned into a see-saw fight in the last minutes. Bharat got a bonus to secure his Super 10, taking the Titans ahead once more temporarily. However, Alireza came back with a multi-point raid, turning the lead around again.
In the dying seconds, Bharat’s bonus point brought the Titans ahead once again. But it ultimately was decided on the last raid of the game. In a stroke of genius, Ganesha Hanamantagol performed a Super Raid, taking out multiple defenders and earning a jaw-dropping victory for the Bulls.
Final Score: Bengaluru Bulls 34 – Telugu Titans 32
