Karnataka, which once used to dominate the National badminton scene, today, is bereft of champion material players, largely due to the dearth of good training facilities. However, the Garden City got a shot in the arm with the launch of the State of the art Level Up-Simply Sport Badminton Excellence Program which aims at augmenting the training facilities with other aspects of the game as well.
“After having played the game at the highest level and having traveled to different parts of the world, I realized the sheer difference was the kind of training facilities available in India and abroad. After having set up the academy, I had a dream of setting up an excellence program which catered to every need of a player from physical coaching to mental training to their nutritional and medical needs as well as international exposure. Sadly I didn’t have the wherewithal as far as finances were concerned. I am excited that the Simply Sport Foundation have partnered us in our attempt to create the champions of the future,” said Arvind Bhat, former National Champion and winner of multiple International titles and also the Director of Level Up Sports.
“We are glad to announce our partnership with Level Up Sports. What Arvind has created gels with our aim of giving a chance for talented kids to participate at the highest level and bring laurels to the country by giving them world class facilities,” said Ankit Nagori, a serial entrepreneur and Founder, Simply Sport Foundation.
