Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, and to some, he is the GOAT. What backs such claims is that only a handful of players in the history of the sport have managed to produce moments of brilliance like him.

Known for his incredible athleticism, powerful shooting, and clutch moments, he has scored over 900 goals in his career and is closing in on scoring 1000.

While it is impossible to pick the best one out of the number of goals he has scored, in this blog, we will take a look at three goals that stood out from the rest.

Three best Cristiano Ronaldo goals

Iconic Bicycle Kick vs Juventus

This one was an obvious pick. One of the most unforgettable moments in modern football came when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a bicycle kick against Juventus back in 2018.

A cross by Dani Carvajal floated into the box and, for a split second, it looked slightly behind Ronaldo. However, he reacted instantly and launched himself into the air. He executed a perfect overhead kick, sending the ball flying into the net.

What made the moment even more special was the reaction from the crowd in the home ground of Juventus. Even the opponent’s supporters stood up and applauded the goal. It proved to be one of those rare moments in football where rival fans simply appreciated pure brilliance.

Free kick against Spain

One of Ronaldo’s most dramatic goals came in the 2018 FIFA World Cup when Portugal took on Spain in the group stage. Despite Ronaldo scoring two goals, Portugal were trailing 3-2 in the 88th minute when they were awarded a free kick.

Stepping up was Cristiano Ronaldo, and he curled the ball into the top corner to complete his hat-trick. It was truly a treat to watch and just another example of him stepping up when it matters the most.

Incredible header vs Sampdoria

Cristiano Ronaldo’s time at Juventus FC also produced one of the most remarkable headers football fans have ever seen. During a match against UC Sampdoria, a cross came into the box, and Ronaldo leaped incredibly high—so high that it looked like he was floating in the air.

He hung there for what felt like seconds before smashing the ball into the net with a powerful header. The goal quickly went viral because of the height of his jump, which showed his unbelievable athleticism even in his mid-30s.
