The BGMI 4.1 update is ready to bring winter back to Erangel. The update will release on 13 November 2025 and will include a new winter theme mode, redesigned map areas, new weapons, new items, and special in-game events. This update focuses on making the map feel more alive and adding more creative ways to fight and move.
New Rozhok Water City
One of the biggest changes in the update is the complete redesign of Rozhok and Water City. The new Water City now features docks, cranes, boats, and snowy pathways, making it look more like a harbor town. The snowy environment will change how players move and hide. With new structures and more cover, close-range fights in this area are expected to be more intense.
New Hot Drop: Penguin Town
Erangel will receive a new high-loot zone called Penguin Town. The area features a large Penguin Statue with a special loot crate that unlocks after a timer. This location will likely become a contested drop spot where early fights decide match momentum.
Winter Event: Snow Festival
The Snow Festival will bring seasonal mini-events, new decorations, and themed activities across the map. Players may notice special winter visuals, new items, and festive surprises while exploring Erangel.
New Weapons and Items
- Fish Rocket Launcher: A unique launcher that shoots fish-shaped rockets and deals explosive damage.
- Blue Fin Tuna Syringe: A boost item that increases movement speed and health recovery. Useful for running away or pushing fights.
- Ice Utilities: New throwable and defensive items that can create slippery ice surfaces or launch players into the air.
These additions are expected to change how players approach both movement and strategy.
Looting Improvements
The update also makes looting smoother:
- Players can now pick up enemy crates and move them to a safe location before looting.
- Loot can also be collected from moving trucks.
- Players can loot even after being knocked down (in “grave” state), reducing risk during fights.
These improvements help players stay safer and more flexible during battles.
New Friendly NPCs
The update adds friendly NPCs across Erangel. These include:
- Thief
- Polar Bear Fox
- Ninja Blacksmith
- Penguin Companion
- Wizard Fox
They will offer small support advantages or supplies depending on the situation.
New Game Mode: Metro Royale Survival
A new Metro Royale Survival Mode is being introduced. In this mode:
- Players must collect loot and extract safely.
- AI enemies guard valuable loot.
- Elite Bosses provide high-level rewards.
This mode will require careful planning and smart movement.
New Season and Royale Pass
The update begins a new ranked season along with a new Royale Pass featuring:
- Outfits
- Weapon skins
- Vehicle cosmetics
- Emotes and lobby animations
New Vehicles
New supercars will also be available in this update, offering faster travel and dramatic chases across the map.
