The Bundesliga 2024-25 season has gotten past midway even as the race is heating up for the title glory.
Bayern Munich tops the points table followed by Bayer Leverkusen in second position.
The German league has been home to some of the most prolific goal scorers in the history of football. In recent times, strikers like Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane have all been the leading scorers in the league.
Robert Lewandowski and Gerd Muller have won this prize a total of seven times. Since Lewandowski’s departure, Niclas Fullkrug and Christopher Nkunku netted 16 goals each to share the trophy in the 2022-23 season. In the last edition, Harry Kane scored an incredible 36 goals – a tally second to only Muller – to win the race and become top scorer.
This season, too, Kane is leading the race for the golden boot with 16 goals. Close on his heels is Omar Marmoush with 15 goals.
