Real Madrid and Real Sociedad went against each other at the Copa Del Rey semi-final which was played at the Anoeta Stadium. It was a cup tie that will be played over 2 legs, the first was concluded in San Sebastian today and the other will be played in the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid won the match with a scoreline of 1-0 at La Real’s home and now have an edge going to the Bernabeu for the 2nd leg. The 2nd leg will be played on 1st April.
Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad Match
The match had little to offer as both teams lacked quality at the front but it was a battle of the midfield as both teams had maestros in the middle of the park.
Real Madrid had Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler while Sociedad had Martin Zubimendi, Barrenetxea, Sucic and Kubo. Endrick netted home the single goal of the match at the 19th minute when Jude Bellingham found him with a beautiful ball over the top from his own half.
Endrick obliged to the pass and finished from outside of the boot to the surprise of Alex Remiro. Other than that chance there were many plays that were half chances but nothing concrete was made of the chances.

At the start of the second half Lunin made a wonderful double save to keep the visitors at the front and at 52nd minute, Endrick had the chance to score another goal and kill the tie but only managed to hit the post.
Apart from that, both goalkeepers made good saves and kept the scoreline from growing. Carlo Ancelloti made 5 substitutions during the game, displaying good signs of motivation for rotational players who usually struggle under him.
All To Play For In The 2nd Leg
With Madrid missing key players in the match, they will be hopeful of returns for the 2nd leg that will definitely strengthen the squad.
La Real will also be hopeful as the lead is only of a goal and can easily be undone with some good football. The 2nd leg will be an interesting tie between the teams and we will surely get a finalist for Copa Del Rey.
