The Champions League 2024-25 draw event took place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on August 29.
In the new format, the competition has been expanded from 32 teams to 36. Each and every team will play eight games against eight different opponents in the new format of the tournament, with all 36 clubs now pooled together into one league rather than split into groups.
Defending champion Real Madrid will play Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, AC Milan, Atalanta, Salzburg, Lille, Stuttgart and Brest with four home and away games in the league phase of Champions League 2024-25.
Manchester City and Arsenal will both play against Paris Saint-Germain, while Aston Villa will take on Celtic in an all-British clash as a result of the draw.
Aston Villa will be competing in the tournament for the first time since 1982-83. They will face Bundesliga defending champions Leverkusen in a repeat of the 1982 European Cup final, and will also take on 2017 champions Juventus.

Under the new format, the top eight teams in the league phase will automatically progress to the last-16. The teams who finish between ninth and 24th will compete in a two-legged play-off to determine the remaining eight spots in the knock-out stage of Champions League 2024-25.
