Filmmaker composer Palaash Muchhal and Indian women’s cricket team vice captain Smriti Mandhana were all set to get married on Sunday, November 23, in Sangli, Maharashtra. Smriti Mandhana’s father, Shriniwas Mandhana, was rushed to Sarvhit Hospital after showing symptoms of a heart attack. A day later, Palaash was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli after reportedly facing a sudden health issue.

What We Know So Far
Smriti Mandhana had already removed her proposal video and engagement announcement from her social media yesterday. Both videos had gone viral when they were originally posted. On the other hand, Palaash still has all his posts with Smriti up on his account.
The only official statement so far has come from Palaash’s sister, Palak Muchhal, who wrote on Instagram: “Due to Smriti’s dad health Smriti and Palaash’s wedding has been put on hold. Would request all of you to respect the privacy of the families in this sensitive time.” Neither Smriti nor Palaash have commented publicly yet.
The Wedding Remains on Pause
Smriti Mandhana and Palaash were supposed to get married on November 23, and several members of the Indian women’s cricket team had already reached Sangli for the pre-wedding celebrations. But with both families dealing with sudden health issues and the internet buzzing with new rumors, the wedding has now been paused indefinitely.
