The UEFA Champions League is the annual football competition for the top football clubs in Europe. The competition is played between the European national league champions.
Clubs from every European league land the opportunity to participate in the tournament by finishing high enough in their domestic leagues, and/or advancing in qualifying matches prior to the group phase starting.
It is one of the most prestigious football tournament in the world where top international stars pull draw a huge number of crowd.
A total of 23 clubs have won the Champions League with Real Madrid (La Liga) lifting the title a record 15 times so far. AC Milan (Serie A) have won seven titles, followed by Bayern Munich (Bundesliga at six titles. Liverpool (Premier League) also have six titles to their name and Barcelona (La Liga) have five titles completing the top five.
