In a major breakthrough, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) announced the first-ever inductees into the CSK Hall of Fame at a special fan engagement event held at the Chepauk stadium on March 22.
In recognition of their extraordinary success with CSK, current and former stars of the franchise celebrated together, with special recognition given to two cricketing legends, Suresh Raina and Matthew Hayden, for their enormous contribution to the team throughout their careers. A special highlight was the reunion of ex-CSK players, which added to the sentimentality of the celebration.

Suresh Raina: The Backbone of CSK
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were founded in 2008, and Suresh Raina was there to help them create history. He is one of the team’s all-time greats, having scored 5,529 runs, making him CSK’s all-time greatest run scorer.

Matthew Hayden: A Minimal Time But With A Great Impact
Matthew Hayden was at CSK for only a small number of seasons but still made a significant impact. He played for CSK in the first three years of the IPL Notable Achievements:
- Won the Orange Cap Award in 2009.
- Played a vital role for CSK as they lifted their first Indian Premier League title in 2010.
- Hayden was still a force to reckon with, even though he had retired from international cricket in 2009.
