Dabang Delhi K.C. clinched their second Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) on their home turf at Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium beating Puneri Paltan 31–28 in a nail-baiting final on Friday night.
With this victory, Delhi became the first home team since U Mumba in Season 2 (2015) to lift the PKL trophy on home soil. The triumph also marked a personal milestone for Fazel Atrachali, who became the most successful foreign player in PKL history, and for head coach Joginder Narwal, who made history as the first individual to win the title both as a player and as a coach.
Strong Start for Dabang Delhi K.C.
Delhi produced a strong start, led by Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya Pawar, who spearheaded the attack. Narwal’s two-point raid and a successful tackle gave the hosts an early edge, while Pawar’s sharp raiding inflicted the first all-out of the match, putting Delhi 20–14 ahead at halftime.
Pune, known for their defensive resilience, relied on Gaurav Khatri and Abinesh Nadarajan, who each produced crucial super tackles to keep their side in contention. However, Delhi’s momentum, aided by Narwal’s Super Raid, ensured they maintained a comfortable cushion heading into the break.
Puneri Paltan’s Fightback
In the second half Puneri Paltan mounted a spirited comeback. Aditya Shinde, who ended the night with a Super 10, while Mohd Amaan and Gurdeep combined to narrow the deficit to just four points.
With under three minutes remaining, Pune pulled off a timely all-out, bringing the score to 28–25 and setting up a tense finale. The visitors pushed hard, with Shinde reducing the gap to a single point, but Delhi’s composure held firm under pressure.

Fazel Atrachali’s Moment of Glory
As the clock ticked down, Delhi’s captain Fazel Atrachali- who had been quiet for much of the match- delivered when it mattered most. His decisive tackle on the in-form Shinde in the final seconds sealed a three-point victory (31–28) and sparked wild celebrations in the stands.
The victory reaffirms Dabang Delhi’s place among PKL’s elite, having previously lifted the trophy in Season 8 (2021–22).
How Much Did Dabang Delhi Earn For PKL 12 Title Win?
Champions Dabang Delhi K.C earned ₹ 3 crore for winning the 12th edition of the league.
Meanwhile, runners-up Puneri Paltan took home ₹ 1.8 crore.
