Danish Prabha Shankar Kaneria is a former Pakistani cricketer and was the only second Hindu cricketer to play for Pakistan. However, the sportsperson is said to make his test debut on 29 December 2000 against team England, afterward he bagged the chance of performing in an ODI on 31 October 2001 against team Zimbabwe. With nearly 32 wickets in seven championship matches to his name for Essex in 2005, he successfully managed to present his potential and impress his supporters.   • The cricketer is said to be the second Hindu to have played for the Pakistan National Cricket team. However, his cousin Anil Dalpat is considered as the first to do so.
  • Danish was, however, 19 years old when he was called up to play for the national team in the month of November 2000 against team England. 
  • Danish played his debut first-class match for the National Shipping Corporation against the Habib Bank Limited cricket team in the 1998-1999 tournament. Moreover, as a domestic cricketer, he played for a number of teams which include National Shipping Corporation, Karachi Whites, Pakistan Reserves, Habib Bank Limited cricket team, Essex, Sindh cricket team, and Pakistan A cricket team.
