How Tackle Points Are Calculated?
A basic tackle in PKL is worth 1 point. However, a “Super Tackle” is awarded 2 points when the defending team successfully tackles a raider while having three or fewer players on the mat.
A standard tackle, or any successful defense against a raider, is worth 1 point for the defending team. This applies when the defending team has four or more players on the mat.
A Super Tackle is when a raider is stopped by a defending team with three players or less, meaning less than half the defence. And because this makes the tackle more difficult, the defending team gets two points for it. But the additional point cannot bring back previously eliminated players.
Top Defenders In PKL 12
1.Navdeep (Patna Pirates)
Navdeep played a total of 21 matches for Patna Pirates in PKL 2025. He holds the record for most tackle points this. He score 73 tackle points averaging at 3.48 per game. His Tackle Strike Rate Stands at 56%.
2. Jaideep Kuldeep Dahiya (Haryana Steelers)
Jaideep Kuldeep Dahiya is second in the list of top defenders in PKL Season 12. He scored 68 points for Haryana Steelers in 19 matches with an average of 3.58. He maintained a commendable Tackle Strike Rate of 66%.
3. Nitesh Kumar (Tamil Thalaivas)
Nitish Kumar of Tamil Thalaivas played a total of 18 matches scoring 65 tackle points. He scored at an average of 3.61 and his Tackle Strike Rate stands at 35%.
