Denmark’s Mads Pedersen Defends Gent Wevelgem Title; Check Top 10 Results

Mads Pedersen of Denmark won Gent Wevelgem on Sunday defending his title.  The Danish cyclist from Lidl-Trek clinched victory at the end of a 56-kilometre solo burst, adding to his previous victories at the classic in 2020 and 2024.

Lidl-Trek defended his Gent Wevelgem title with a dominant victory on Sunday (30 March).

Danish cyclist Mads Pedersen won Gent Wevelgem on Sunday at the end of a 55-kilometre solo burst, adding to his previous victories at the classic in 2020 and 2024.

The Lidl-Trek rider finished well ahead of Belgian Tim Merlier in second, with Jonathan Milan of Italy completing the podium.

The former world champion won the race by nearly a minute, riding solo for 56km after launching his second attack of the day on the Kemmelberg.

Dutch rider Lorena Wiebes of Team SD Worx-Protime clinched a 100th career victory to defend her title in a sprint finish.

Wiebes, who recently won the Sanremo Women, finished ahead of Italy’s Elisa Balsamo in replicating last year’s race. Charlotte Kool of the Netherlands finished third.
