The Helicopter Shot- the first name that comes to our mind when we hear it is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The former Indian captain and wicket-keeper are widely known for his unorthodox shots. When it comes to the death overs, depositing the yorkers into the stands is what makes the helicopter shot so destructive. Over the years, MSD has shown his amazing strength of the wrists while finishing the innings for his team on the international stage or in the IPL.
However, it has been a long time since we saw the helicopter take off. Fans have been waiting to see ‘Vintage Dhoni’ in action and the wait might soon be over. During the CSK net session, Dhoni was seen playing what seems to look like a ‘mini-helicopter.

Ahead of their next clash against the PBKS, the Chennai Skipper was spotted practicing his big hits, including the helicopter shot. CSK lost their first game against the Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets are looking to bounce back into the tournament with their first win. Dhoni didn’t start the tournament well with the bat as he was bowled for a duck while pulling a short delivery off Avesh Khan.
The three-time IPL winners would be going up against the might line up of Punjab Kings on Friday and would require the finishing skills of their skipper to help register their first victory in the 14th edition of the IPL. Will the Helicopter take off tonight? We’ll have to wait and watch.
