At the second spot in our list of the top four cricketers who have left Mumbai and joined other teams in domestic cricket, we have the son of the legendary Indian former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Tendulkar, who made his senior debut for Mumbai in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was also included in Mumbai’s squad for the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy group stages.

According to the reports, although Arjun Tendulkar was selected for Mumbai’s senior squad, he was still denied opportunities to play crucial matches by the management, which compelled him to leave the Mumbai squad and join the Goa domestic cricket team for the 2022–23 season after receiving his No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association.

  • Siddhesh Lad

Next in our list of the top four cricketers who have left Mumbai and joined other teams in domestic cricket, we have the 32-year-old Indian cricketer, Siddhesh Dinesh Lad, popularly referred to as “Siddhesh Lad” by his teammates and cricket aficionados.

Siddhesh Lad made his debut for Mumbai in the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy against Punjab and rose to undeniable fame after smashing the match-winning knock of 88 runs off 101 deliveries in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy season.  As soon as Siddhesh Lad turned 30, he took the bold decision to leave the Mumbai team and joining Goa to take up more crucial and worthy cricket opportunities and leadership roles.

  • Shubham Ranjane

Finally, at the fourth spot in our list of the top four players who left Mumbai and joined other domestic cricket teams in recent years, we have the Indian first-class cricketer, Shubham Ranjane. The all-rounder Shubham Ranjane kicked off his domestic cricket career with the Mumbai team and represented the state in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy where he scored a phenomenal total of 595 runs over 15 first-class matches at an average of 31.31, with the highest score of 76 runs.

However, Shubham Ranjane continued to face problems with the limited opportunities to play in Mumbai’s domestic cricket team owing to its batting lineup and switched to the Goa squad. Eventually, in 2022, Shubham Ranjane relocated to the United States and joined the Seattle Thunderbolts team in the 2023 MLC season.
