Last Wednesday Bayern had said, that Süle would leave at the end of the season after he rejected its latest offer.

“We’re delighted that we have managed to sign Niklas Süle, a Germany international, on a free transfer and have tied the player down for four years,” said Michael Zorc.

Süle started for Bayern in its 3-2 win over Leipzig on Saturday and has made 159 appearances across all the competitions for the Bavarian powerhouse. He’s won two German Cups, four Bundesligas and the 2020 Champions League with Bayern, though he had to miss much of the triple-winning season because of a cruciate ligament injury.

“Niklas has shown during the course of personal talks that he is really keen on Borussia Dortmund,” said Sebastian Kehl. “He possesses a lot of experience, composure in his build-up play and the necessary physicality to take the next step with us from this summer onwards.” he added.
