El Clasico: Messi outrage on referee said “Speak well referee, with respect!”

During the El Clasico Messi yelled at the referee saying “Speak well, referee, with respect!” obviously not liking the attitude with which he was operating.

Madrid’s Casemiro was sent off for a second yellow late on in the match taking yellow cards back to back in just 5 minutes on the clock, and there was a penalty shout turned down for Barcelona in the final stages of the game, too.

On El Clasico day at the Spanish capital, Madrid, Messi was frustrated and desperate throughout the game. Los Blancos were at a stable edge after the first half leading the score with 2-1 until the very end. All that was building pressure on the Barcelona side, and the penalty was not awarded as well, it was clear to the referee that it is not a penalty the controversy that Barcelona have created and Ronald Koeman said after the match emphasizing it more.

“The way Martin falls, it has to be a foul. The referee may not see it, but we have a VAR for situations like this.

“However, it is better not to say more. The team has been mentally good and we deserved a decision in the penalty situation., said Ronald Koeman

“It was a complicated match. The first half was ours, but we also suffered then. Barcelona is a really good team and they can find spaces with the technical skills of their players. But, we created chances and could have scored a third or fourth. This demanded a lot from us, but that’s normal against these kinds of teams. We’re at the limit, physically. But, this is football. We have to continue as we’ve not won anything yet. We’ll have very difficult matches ahead.” said Zinedine Zidane

Messi equaled Sergio Ramos’s record by playing the game, drawing level as the footballer with the most appearances in El Clasico with his 45th. Ramos was in the stands for the game, injured, and with both of their contracts terminating in the summer. Messi is also the Pichichi of this La Liga season with 23 goals, four more than Gerard Moreno and Luis Suarez.

In addition to it, Messi has the same goals scored as Cristiano Ronaldo in El Clasico, since the departure of Cristiano. Therefore, the Messi Clasico drought continues.
