Indian cricket team won the third and the last ODI of the series against England by 5 wickets at Old Trafford on Sunday, 17th July. With this victory, India named this 3-match ODI series to their name. This was a special victory for the visitors, thanks to Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya who performed exceptionally well in the game.

Rishabh Pant scored his maiden ODI century in this third ODI against England and it was a wonderful innings from him. Not only him but also Hardik Pandya played well. Hardik Pandya scored 71 runs and also took 4 wickets which help India restrict England for 259 runs in the first innings.

While chasing down 260 runs, India lost some early wickets when Reece Topley again started with a top bowling. He dismissed Rohit, Virat and Shikhar Dhawan inside 10 overs. But since Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya came onto the crease, they changed the scenario of the game. Both of these batters were looking comfortable since the start of their innings. Hardik Pandya was playing at a higher strike rate and Rishabh Pant took his time and played some emphatic shots after he got set.

Rishabh Pant was named ‘man of the match’ award for his wonderful 125* run innings.
