New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has tested positive for COVID-19 and thus, won’t be available for the second Test match against England. The second Test between New Zealand and England will be played from 10th June to 14th June at Trent Bridge. The five-day Test match is starting on Friday.

England is already leading this series by 1-0 after getting an emphatic victory in the first Test match against New Zealand which was played at Lord’s cricket ground, England. It was an amazing inning from England’s former captain Joe Root who single-handedly took England to the victory. Joe Root scored 115* runs and made a great partnership with skipper Ben Stokes. Ben Stokes scored 54 runs and their innings were so crucial as England was in big trouble when they started losing some early wickets in their chase of 277 runs.

As Kane Williamson is absent from the second Test, Tom Latham will be leading the team in place of him. Tom Latham has a big responsibility in his hands as New Zealand wants to level this series by 1-1. If England wins this game (2nd Test), then they will win the 3-match Test series against New Zealand.
