FIFA Best Awards 2024: Vinicius Jr. and Aitana Bonmati celebrated big wins at The Best FIFA Football Awards™ 2024. But who voted for them as the top Men’s and Women’s Players?

FIFA’s official site has shared the full voting details for the Player, Goalkeeper, and Coach awards.

These six awards were decided by votes from national team coaches, captains, expert media members, and fans on FIFA.com. The winners were announced at a gala in Doha, Qatar, on December 17.

Emiliano Martinez and Alyssa Naeher won the Best Goalkeeper awards, while Carlo Ancelotti and Emma Hayes were honored as the Best Coaches.

The Best FIFA Men’s Player

Winner: Vinicius Jr (48 points)
Second: Rodri (43 points)
Third: Jude Bellingham (37 points)

Vinicius Jr. won ‘The Best FIFA Men’s Player Award’ for the first time, thanks to the support of his fellow players and football fans worldwide. He beat Rodri to claim the top spot. The Brazilian star, who plays for Real Madrid, was the first choice of teammates like Danilo and coach Dorival Junior.

Meanwhile, Argentina’s captain Lionel Messi ranked him third, behind Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe.

The Best FIFA Women’s Player

Winner: Aitana Bonmati (52 points)
Second: Barbra Banda (39 points)
Third: Caroline Graham Hansen (37 points)

Spain’s Aitana Bonmati won ‘The Best FIFA Women’s Player award’ again, keeping the title she earned in 2023. She dominated all four voting categories and earned more than twice the fan votes of her closest competitors combined. Her outstanding achievements gained support from team captains worldwide, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper

Winner: Emiliano Martinez (26 points)
Second: Ederson (16 points)
Third: Unai Simon (13 points)

Argentina’s Emiliano Martinez won ‘The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award’ again, reclaiming the title he first earned in 2022. He received more support across all four voting categories than his closest rivals. His compatriots, Lionel Scaloni and Lionel Messi, backed him, while Colombia’s Nestor Lorenzo and James Rodriguez—defeated by Martinez’s team in the 2024 Copa America final, ranked him first and third, respectively.

The Best FIFA Women’s Coach

Winner: Emma Hayes (23 points)

Emma Hayes won ‘The Best FIFA Women’s Coach award’, thanks in part to earning the most points from votes by international captains, coaches, and media. USA captain Lindsay Horan, England captain Leah Williamson, and coach Sarina Wiegman—who had won the award three times in the last four years, all voted for Hayes.
