The tournament will feature a total of seven teams, including Urawa Reds from Japan, Al Ahly from Egypt, Club Leon from Mexico, Auckland City from New Zealand, Manchester City from England, and Al Ittihad from Saudi Arabia. The winners of the CONMEBOL Libertadores 2023 are yet to be determined and will also join the competition.

The first-round match between Al Ittihad and Auckland City is scheduled for December 12. The victor of this match will progress to the second round, where they will face Urawa Reds, Al Ahly, and Club Leon. Manchester City and the CONMEBOL representative have received byes for the first two rounds, securing spots directly in the semifinals.

During the September 7 draw ceremony, FIFA also plans to unveil the official emblem for the tournament.
