Team of Ghana

The Ghana National Football team is often called the “Black Stars”, because of the Black Star of Africa in their flag. The team, however, is said to be governed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA). The GFA is the oldest football association in Africa, which was founded in 1920. Moreover, the team is a member of both FIFA and CAF.

As per reports, the team has successfully qualified for 4 Olympic Games Football Tournaments, and its furthest position was third during the 1992 Summer Olympics. Moreover, the team managed to win the Africa Cup of Nations 4 times (1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982). And later achieved the FIFA Best Mover of the Year Award, as well as managed to reach the second round of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Furthermore, during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the team became the third African team to reach the World Cup quarterfinals.

Also, their squad is said to possess an interesting combination of experienced and talented players, who are capable of winning matches at this tournament. Moreover, the team will be led by their head coach, Otto Addo who will be responsible for figuring out the right blend, along with providing the team the spirit that is required by them to shake things up in Qatar. And, after missing out on the FIFA World Cup in 2018, the team is expected to come up with their best, thereby setting a tough competition to other countries.
