Team of Tunisia for the FIFA World Cup

The Tunisia National Football team is considered as a member of both FIFA and CAF, the Confederation of African Football. It is, however, governed by the Tunisian Football Federation, which was founded in the year of 1957. And, the team’s colours are red and white, along with a bald eagle as its symbol. Because of the symbol, they are often recognised as the “Eagles of Carthage“. The team’s current coach is Jalel Kadri, who has been serving the team since 30 January 2022. According to reports, the team has so far appeared in five FIFA World Cups and twenty Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, as well as participated in four editions of the Olympic football tournaments.

Also, the team qualified for the 1978 World Cup, managing to become the first African and Arab team to win a World Cup match against Mexico. Furthermore, Tunisia is considered as one of the most competitive African national teams in international football, who have won one African Cup of Nations, as hosts in the year of 2004. As per sources, the current Tunisian team is an entirely different one from the squad of 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Currently, the team is composed of a totally different outfit under the tutelage of a new-look technical leadership team. However, the expectations from this team seem to rise, after they successfully presented their skills and performance in the recent competitions against strong oppositions.

Being placed in the same group with one the dominant and strong competitors like France, Australia and Denmark their journey to the knockout stages will be a bit complicated. But, with their extraordinary form the team is expected to retain their recent form, thereby setting interesting and exciting matches in the tournament.
