This month, the United States men’s national team will return to the FIFA World Cup, and the team has just released their roster.

For the first time since 1986, the World Cup did not feature an American team after the United States failed to qualify for the 2018 tournament in Russia. The United States is basing its hopes on a young squad loaded with promise and intriguing prospects under the direction of new head coach Gregg Berhalter, who was instrumental as a player in the United States run to the quarterfinals of the 2002 World Cup. The United States men are headed back to the FIFA World Cup, and Christian Pulisic will be the focal point of a young and promising squad. Here you may see the complete team list.

Sergio Dest

Age:21

Position: Defender

The USMNT are lucky not only because Dest is great at stopping wingers and fullbacks but also because his home country, the Netherlands, wanted to sign him. Even though Dest’s father is from Brooklyn, New York City, he will never forget his first trip to the United States.

He said, “It was 2014.” “It was the World Cup.” I can still remember how important it was. I knew then that I wanted to wear the U.S. shirt.

Dest has a lot of experience for his age. He has played in two FIFA youth tournaments for Ajax, Barcelona, and AC Milan. He recently joined AC Milan on loan because he said, “I need to play as much as possible before the World Cup.”

Dest has the offensive prowess, defensive play, and possession skills necessary for a fullback. Both offensively and defensively, his speed and ability to take on defenders are assets.

Weston Mckenzie

Age: 24

Position: Midfielder

Weston McKennie likes to have fun, which is why he missed two World Cup qualifying games last September. But when McKennie is on the field, he’s serious.

“When I think of McKennie, I think of the man who made the United States go along with Musah and Adams. But McKennie is the one who can bring the “X factor.” He can get into the box and score goals, but he’ll also give this U.S. team some bite and personality.”

McKennie is a regular starter for Juventus in Serie A, but he has been most successful with the USMNT. If that keeps up at the World Cup, he will be able to show more of his personality both on and off the field.
