He has presided over 1453 games, winning 871 of them. That translates to him winning 59.94% of his total matches. He has won 38 trophies in total as a manager, 22 of which he won as manager of Shakhtar Donetsk. In 12 years at Donetsk, he led the team in 573 games and won 395, winning nearly 69 out of every 100. That’s a fantastic album. William Patrick Maley is widely regarded as Scotland’s most successful manager. For forty-three years as a manager, the first manager of Celtic Football Club called the shots. Maley presided over 1612 matches from 1897 to 1940, winning 1039 of them for a winning percentage of 64.45. 

Celtic won the Scottish League Championship 16 times during his tenure. As Celtic manager, he won 54 more trophies. Maley was in charge for 42 years and 5 months, making him the club’s second longest-serving manager, trailing only Fred Everiss (45 years, 9 months, and 30 days at West Brom).

Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson is considered as the greatest football manager of all time, and has amassed the most victories. During his 39-year managerial career, he oversaw 2155 games. It means he won 58.1% of his matches, which is an impressive record. Ferguson began his managerial career in East Stirlingshire in 1974, where he won 9 of 17 games. He later managed St Mirren (169 games/74 victories), Aberdeen (459 games/272 victories), and Scotland (10 games/3 victories). On November 6, 1986, he took over as manager of Manchester United. 

Fergie won 895 of United’s 1500 matches. During his 27-year tenure as manager of Manchester United, he won 13 League titles, 5 FA Cups, 3 Champions League titles, 1 FIFA Club World Cup, and 17 other trophies. As a manager, he won 51 trophies, making him one of the most successful ever.
