2. Amar Singh: 6/35 vs England in 1936
The right-arm fast pacer played 7 matches in his career span for India, in which he managed to take 28 wickets with an average of 30.64. He took a total of 2 five-wicket hauls in his short-lived career for India.
3. Lala Amarnath: 5/118 vs England in 1946
The first captain of Team India after Independence took 45 wickets for Team India in 25 matches with an average of 32.91. He managed to take 2 five-wicket hauls in his career span.
4. Kapil Dev: 5/125 vs England in 1982

The legendary captain of India lifted the first title of the World Cup for the nation in 1983, where he also became the first Indian batter to score a century in ODI format when he scored 175* against Zimbabwe. In his career span, he took 434 wickets in 131 matches with an average of 29.64. He managed to take 23 five-wicket hauls and 2 ten-wicket hauls.
5. RP Singh: 5/59 vs England in 2007
He had a career of 14 matches in Test format and managed to take a total of 40 wickets, in which he took one five-wicket haul, which too at Lord’s. He had an average of 42.05 with an economy of 3.98.
6. Ishant Sharma: 7/74 vs England in 2014
A tall right-arm fast-medium pacer of India managed to grab 311 wickets in 105 matches with an average of 32.40 at an economy of 3.15. In his career span, he took 11 five-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul.
7. Bhuvneshwar Kumar: 6/82 vs England in 2014 (in the same match as Ishant Sharma’s fifer)
The swing master of Team India, who took 63 wickets for India in 21 matches and had an average of 26.09. Out of these handful of chances, he managed to take 4 five-wicket hauls with an impressive economy of 2.94.
8. Jasprit Bumrah: 5/74 vs England Ander-Tendulkar Trophy 2025

The greatest bowler of all time in the world of cricket from Team India, with 217 wickets in 47 matches. He has an impeccable average of 19.48, leaving behind the greats like Malcum Marshal in Test format with an impressive economy of 2.77.
