ICC Unveils Full Schedule For T20 World Cup 2026: The ICC has officially released the schedule for the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup, set to take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026. This edition will be historic with 20 teams competing for the first time. India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the tournament.
Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, and India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav were present at the launch event where the fixtures were revealed.
T20 World Cup 2026: India and Pakistan Together in Group A
The teams have been divided into four groups, with India and Pakistan both placed in Group A.
- Group A: India, Pakistan, Netherlands, Namibia, USA
- Group B: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Oman
- Group C: England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, Italy
- Group D: South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE, Canada
T20 World Cup 2026: Tournament Opener and Key Venues
The competition begins on February 7 with Pakistan facing the Netherlands in Colombo. Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the first semifinal, while the second semifinal will take place in Colombo. The final is scheduled at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, but if Pakistan qualifies, the match will be moved to Colombo.
Eight venues will be used in total. India will host matches in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai, while Sri Lanka will host games in Colombo and Kandy.

India will begin in Mumbai, then move to Delhi, followed by the big clash against Pakistan in Colombo. Their final group match is set for Ahmedabad.
