Liverpool have gone all out for the 22-year-old, finally reaching an agreement with Leverkusen at the third time of asking, agreeing to pay a record-breaking fee that could rise to £126.9m.

The German will do a lot in building Arne Slot’s ultimate team to challenge for more titles in the next season. Although they won the Premier league this season, they failed to win the Champions league, FA cup and Carabao cup.

Wirtx can play at many positions as he can play as a winger who can tuck in between the lines, or he can play as a attacking midfielder or even as a 8 on the field.

Romano reports that add-ons are included in the deal, with Wirtz now set to undergo a medical and sign a contract.

He wrote on X: ‘Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, HERE WE GO! Liverpool verbally agree deal in principle with Bayer Leverkusen for a package reaching €150m add-ons included.’

‘Player side already agreed two weeks ago with a move now imminent. Wirtz set for medical and contract signing.’

Jeremie Frimpong has already completed the move to Liverpool, Wirtz has been confirmed and there is a high probability that Milos Kerkez will also be joining the Merseyside club.

With this signing, Florian Wirtz will become the most expensive signing to the Premier league, he had been linked with Manchester City but will now be joining Liverpool.
