In the first innings of the GT vs KKR IPL 2026 match, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 180 all out in 20 overs after a difficult start. Captain Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed on the first ball, putting KKR under instant pressure.
Wickets kept falling regularly, but Cameron Green held the innings together with a superb 79 off 55 balls, including 7 fours and 4 sixes. He balanced caution with attack and guided the recovery. Gujarat Titans bowlers controlled the closing overs well, preventing KKR from reaching a bigger total.

Rahul Tewatia rotated strike smartly, while Phillips added useful late runs before falling in the final over. Shahrukh Khan then completed the job with composed finishing shots as GT reached 181/5 in 19.4 overs, winning by five wickets.
Shubman Gill Led From The Front
Shubman Gill led from the front with a superb captain’s knock of 86 runs from 50 balls in the GT vs KKR clash. He played with great timing and control, striking 8 fours and 4 sixes at a strong strike rate of 172.00. Gill handled pressure smartly, rotated the strike well, and punished loose deliveries. His confident innings gave the Gujarat Titans a solid base and kept the chase fully under control.
