GT vs RCB, Qualifier-1 clash began with an electrifying over for the Challengers as 14 runs came from the over of Mohammed Siraj. Venkatesh Iyer hit 3 boundaries. In the very next over, Kagiso Rabada’s first breakthrough came as Venkatesh Iyer got out on the score of 19(7) after hitting a six to Rabada on the previous delivery. 11 runs came from the 3rd over as Kohli and Paddikal took the charge. 

The 4th over was an expensive over for the Titans as 18 runs came from that over, including 4 boundaries, 3 from Paddikal’s bat and 1 from Kohli’s bat. Again, 12 runs came from the 5th over of Jason Holder, and RCB looked aggressive as Virat and Devdutt ended the powerplay with 14 runs from the 6th over, and RCB was at 76/1, Virat Kohli 34*(18) and Devdutt Paddikal 23*(11).

Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya Shift Gears as RCB Dominate Middle Overs Against Gujarat in Qualifier-1, GT vs RCB

The middle overs phase one from 7th to 11th of GT vs RCB began with the same attitude, as 10 runs came from the 7th over of Jason Holder. In the 9th over, a big breakthrough came when Virat Kohli’s wicket was taken by Jason Holder, as he clean bowled Kohli with his short of the length ball and got a bottom edge to it, and he gave up his wicket. Kohli scored 43(25). Now, captain Rajat Patidar came to the crease, but things didn’t go in favour of RCB as on 8.4 over again the third wicket for GT, and 2nd for Jason Holder came. 

Devdutt Padikkal was caught behind; he scored 30(19). The 9th over was the over in which GT tried to make a comeback as 4 runs and 2 big wickets came in it, and till the 11th over, Challengers took a calm and steady approach and ended the 11th over with the score of 112/3, Rajat Patidar 11*(6) and Krunal Pandya 8*(9).

Middle overs phase, second from 12th to 16th overs, 12th over of Prasidh Krishna started with a kind of expensive over as he conceded 13 runs from it. 13th over of Kulwant Khejroliya bowled tight lines and gave only 3 runs from his over. A big over for RCB came in the 15th over of Khejroliya, both Krunal and Rajat took the charge, and Krunal hit 2 boundaries, and Rajat Patidar hit 2 fours and a six in that over. 

A total of 28 runs came from that over, and the Gujarat Titans were losing grip. Again in the 16th over of Rashid Khan, 21 runs came, where 3 sixes were included, and RCB finished the middle overs phase at 189/3, Rajat Patidar 49*(20) and Krunal Pandya 43*(27).

Rajat Patidar’s Explosive 93 Powers RCB to Massive 254/5 Against GT in Qualifier-1

GT vs RCB, first innings came to the death overs phase, where the stage was set to hit. Left 4 overs and attack fearlessly as 189/3 is a great stage to attack in death overs later, and RCB’s batters grabbed the opportunity, and the 17th over of Kagiso Rabada conceded 15 runs as Rajat Patidar hit 2 sixes and took the charge to himself. The wicket of Krunal Pandya didn’t affect the fearless style of Rajat Patidar. 

The 5th breakthrough for GT came in the 18th over as Tim David got out early on Prasidh Krishna’s ball. A big over came in the 19th over where 21 runs were added in RCB’s basket, and Patidar finished the game in his style as 19 runs came from the last over of the 1st innings. Royal Challengers finished the innings at 254/5. Rajat Patidar scored a captain’s knock of 93*(33) with a blistering strike rate of 281, including 9 sixes and 5 fours, and Jitesh Sharma also gave an important contribution of 15*(5).
