Michael Hussey celebrates his birthday today. Born on 27 May 1975, Michael Hussey turns 46 today. Hussey is a cricket coach, commentator, and former international cricketer. He played all forms of the game for Australia. His contribution to Australian cricket and the world is a huge one, thus he is aptly nick-named Mr. Cricket.

The Australian was a late bloomer. Debuting at the age of 28 for one-day international  (ODI) and at 30 for Tests. But when he arrived on the international scene, he was already peaking. Almost everything went right in his first six matches. Australia had won two series, and Hussey had already scored three hundred.

Be it his mentally tough knocks on hot Australian grounds in front of packed stadiums, those hard-hitting match-winning sixes against Pakistan in the second semi-final of ICC World T20 in 2010, being the top-ranked ODI (50 over) batsman in the world in 2006 or athletic diving catches, Hussey has done it all.

Here is Cricket Australia’s official Twitter handle wishing brilliant fielder, Hussey happy birthday.
