Harry Kane has paid tribute to ‘special’ Chelsea star Mason Mount and ‘fantastic’ Manchester City ace Phil Foden, with the England teammates set to meet in the Champions League final.

Awaiting Chelsea in the May 29 final is Premier League champions-elect Man City.
Tottenham and England captain Kane is a huge admirer of both Mount and Foden, describing them as ‘special’ and ‘fantastic’ players.

‘Mason [Mount] is a fantastic player, great on the ball, great worth ethic,’ Kane told beIN SPORTS. ‘He wins balls back, makes tackles, it’s an underrated part of his game.

‘He’s a truly special player and it’s great for him to playing in a Champions League final in a few weeks’ time. He was great again against Real Madrid.’

On Foden, Kane added: ‘He’s fantastic. He’s done amazing the last two, three, four years. He’s really stepped up.

‘You can see him improving year on year, getting better at understanding the game and he’s playing at the highest level for the best team in the world and he’s performing as well as any player has done, throughout the whole season.

‘He’s a great talent. He’s a great boy as well. He’s always looking to learn and improve.’ Kane, Mount and Foden will all hope to help fire Gareth Southgate’s England to European Championship glory this summer.

Tottenham’s Kane also hopes to win some trophies at club level, having lost out in Champions League and FA Cup finals in recent seasons.

Asked to outline his aspirations, Kane responded: ‘Just to have trophies under the belt, to have amazing experiences under the belt.

‘Of-course I’ve played in some finals, some semi-finals. On the bigger stage it hasn’t quite gone my way, but I’ve got plenty of years left. ‘Hopefully I can look back on my career in years to come and be proud of what I’ve achieved.’
