Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid has given his opinion on the Test series between India and England that finished 2-2. England won the last Test match by 7 wickets to level the series by 2-2 share the trophy. It was a disappointing result for India team and for Rahul Dravid as he feels the team could have batted well in the second innings.
Rahul Dravid also opened up about the Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant who scored the most runs for India in this last rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston. He (Rahul Dravid) praised the Indian batter and feels he is learning well.
“He is doing really well in Test cricket. He keeps increasing everyone’s heart rates time and again with some of his shots but we are now used to that. We accept that he may play some shots at times that we think he maybe shouldn’t play,” said head coach Rahul Dravid in the post-match press conference as reported by India Today.
Rahul Dravid feels Rishabh Pant backs himself whenever he sees the right ball and right bowler. Pant scored 200+ runs in the 5th rescheduled Test match against England and also became the first visiting wicket-keeper batter to score 200+ runs in a Test match in England.
