Indian cricket team won the three-match T20I series against England by 2-1 and lifted the trophy on Sunday, 10th July after the last match of the series. However, India lost the last game (3rd T20I) which was played on the same day at Trent Bridge. Indian team lost the toss and were asked to bowl first against England.

India lost some early wickets during the chase as skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant were among the early departures. All these batters were back to the pavilion inside the first six overs. Suryakumar Yadav who came to bat at No. 4 ran the show in this match. Suryakumar Yadav scored his maiden T20I hundred in this match and it was really a joy to watch for fans. Suryakumar Yadav became only the fifth Indian batter to score a century in T20Is. After the game, skipper Rohit Sharma praised him (Suryakumar Yadav).

“It was a fantastic chase, to show that fight is something we are really proud of. SKY (Suryakumar) loves this format, wide range of shots, unorthodox, never lets the tempo lose, grown as a player, going from strength to strength,” said Rohit Sharma after the game as telecasted by Sony Sports Network.

Despite his century, India lost this game and couldn’t clean sweep England in this T20I series.
