Taking 5 wickets in cricket is an achievement , but what happens if a bowler sends half the team back to the pavilion in a T-20 match, that surely sounds a great deal.

Here’s the list of players who’ve scalped 5 wickets in an IPL game since it’s inception back in 2008.

1. Sohail Tanvir (2008)
The first five-wicket haul was taken by Sohail Tanvir of the Rajasthan Royals against the Chennai Super Kings on 4 May 2008. He finished the game with 6 wickets.

2. Lakshmipathy Balaji (2008)
Lakshmipathy Balaji picked up his 5 wicket haul while playing for Chennai Super Kings against Kings XI Punjab on 10th May 2008.

3) Amit Mishra (2008)
Amit Mishra scalped 5 wickets while playing for Delhi Daredevils against Deccan Chargers in Feroz Shah Kotla on15th May 2008.

4) Anil Kumble (2009)
The Indian Bowling legend, Anil Kumble picked up the most economical 5 wicket haul of all time.
He did this against Rajasthan Royals while playing for the Banglore side on 18 April 2009.

5) Lasith Malinga (2011)
The SLINGA as they named him after his slinging arm action joined the 5 wicket haul club in a clash between 2 metropolitan cities Delhi and Mumbai on 10 April 2011.

6) Harbhajan Singh (2011)
The Turbanator scalped 5 wickets while playing from Mumbai side against his arch rivals Chennai Super Kings on 22 April 2011.

7) Ishant Sharma (2011)
Ishant Sharma picked up his 5 wicket haul while playing for Deccan Chargers against Kochi Tuskers Kerala on 27 April 2011.

8) Munaf Patel (2011)
2011 was the perfect season for Mumbai Indians as their bowlers were constantly getting 5 wicket Hauls to their names. This time, Munaf Patel picked up yet another fifer against Kings XI Punjab on 10 May 2011.

9) Ravindra Jadeja (2012)
Star All-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja picked up  a fifer against Deccan Chargers while playing for Chennai on 7 April 2012.

10) Dimitri Mascarenhas (2012)

He picked up his fifer on 12 April 2012 against Pune Warriors while playing for Punjab side.

11) Sunil Naraine (2012)
The West Indian wizard spun his web around the players and  picked up his 5 wicket haul on 15 April 2012 against Kings XI Punjab.

12) James Faulkner (2013)

The All-rounder picked up 5 wickets Sunrisers Hyderabad on27 April 2013 while playing for Rajasthan Royals.

13) Jaydev Unadkat (2013)
He picked up his first five wicket haul against Delhi Daredevils while playing for Royal Challengers Banglore on 10 May 2013.

14) James Faulkner (2013)
The star player from Rajasthan picked yet another fifer of the season becoming first player in the IPL to do so. He achieved this feat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 17 May 2013.

15) Adam Zampa (2016)
The Australian Spinner picked up his maiden IPL fifer against Sunrisers Hyderabad while playing for Rising Pune Supergiants on 10 May 2016.

16) Andrew Tye (2017)
Andrew Tye picked  up his fifer in a fixture that saw both newly inducted teams fighting to seal victory.
He achieved this feat against Pune side on 14 April 2017.

17) Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2017)
The Indian swing bowling sensation scalped 5 wickets while playing against Punjab on 17 April 2017.

18) Jaydev Unadkat (2017)
Unadkat picked up his second 5 wicket hall this time playing in colors of Rising Pune Supergiants against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

19) Ankit Rajpoot (2018)
This relatively unknown Indian Right Arm Medium fast bowler became a star by picking up a fifer against Sunrisers Hyderabad  on 26 April 2018.

20) Alzarri Joseph (2019)
The West Indian scalped 5 wickets while playing for Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad  on 6 April 2019.

21) Varun Chakravarthy (2020)
The leg spinner picked up his 5 wicket haul against Delhi Capitals side on 24 October 2020.
